BAJA CALIFORNIA

Baja California Sur has some of Mexico's most spectacular scenery.  Vast cactus-filled deserts, 6,000-ft mountains, 400 year-old colonial towns, and some of the largest concentrations of sea life with 900 fish species and 32 marine mammals gathering in these plankton-filled waters to feed and breed; including the Giant Pacific manta rays whale-sharks, humpback whales, killer whales, Humboldt squid, leatherback turtles, the common dolphin, and the ever-elusive blue whale, the world's largest animal. Baja is a diver and snorkeler's paradise unlike any other.

The trips start and end in the quaint small city of La Paz, and depending on how much time you have, trips include visits to islands such as Espiritu Santo, Isla Partida, el Islote, San José, Isla Danzante, Isla Carmen.

If possible, a day trip can be arranged from Loreto to the Mission of San Francisco Javier de Vigge-Biaundó, an 18th-century Spanish church.
